Summons have been sent to them. Nitish Kumar has broken his silence on this matter. He said after a program in Patna today that the Lalu family is answering this. Similar action had taken place earlier also, when JDU and RJD were together.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on ED’s raids on the premises of Tejashwi Yadav and other members of his family, said that those people, on whom all this is going on, are giving answers. He also said that now you people also think that in the year 2017 such action was taken and then it is happening now.

Chief Minister was talking to reporters after paying tribute to Jubba Sahni at the park located in Rajendra Nagar on his death anniversary. The media questioned that there is talk of breaking the alliance again. On this the Chief Minister said that there is nothing like that, you people should not worry.

What is the matter?

The matter pertains to Lalu Prasad’s tenure as Railway Minister between 2004 and 2009. It is alleged that more than two dozen people were given Group-C and D jobs in the Railways after taking land. In this case, ED has registered a case of money laundering on the basis of CBI’s FIR.

Lalu and his wife have been questioned

In this case, the CBI had recently interrogated former Chief Minister Lalu Prasad and his wife Rabri Devi at length. Lalu was questioned at the Delhi residence of his daughter Misa Bharti. Whereas, Rabri Devi was questioned by the CBI at her house in Patna.

Three accused have been arrested

CBI has so far arrested three accused in this case. These include Lalu Prasad’s Special Duty Officer Bhola Yadav when he was Railway Minister. Apart from this, railway employee Hridayanand Chaudhary and another person Dharmendra Rai have been arrested. Bhola Yadav is currently out on bail.
