Patiala House Court has sent 18 accused associated with PFI arrested during the raids conducted by NIA on more than 100 locations of PFI on Thursday in 11 states across the country including Delhi.
According to the information, more than 106 PFI members have been arrested so far by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday in 11 states simultaneously raiding around 100 places of Popular Front of India (PFI) organization.
The PFI and its members have been accused of raising funds for terrorism, running training camps and luring people to join them.
It is being told that joint teams of NIA, ED and state police raided about 100 places in about 11 states. These raids took place in the states of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Maharashtra, Puducherry, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar, West Bengal and Manipur etc. The maximum number of raids were conducted at 39 places in Kerala and 16 in Tamil Nadu, 12 in Karnataka and seven in Andhra Pradesh. Raids were also conducted at two places in the capital Delhi.
Maximum 22 members were arrested from Kerala and 20 each from Karnataka and Maharashtra. 10 members were arrested from Tamil Nadu and 3 from the capital Delhi.
