Arnab Goswami, editor-in-chief of Republic TV, has been arrested by the Mumbai police in connection with the suicide of an 53-year-old interior designer and his mother. Inspector General of Police (Konkan Range) Sanjay Mohite confirmed that Arnab Goswami has been arrested by the Raigad police. Arnab is being taken to Alibaug and will be produced before a local court later today. Kangana Ranaut has attacked the Maharashtra government after Arnab’s arrest. Condemning Arnab’s arrest, Kangana wrote on her Twitter, “Arnab sir, we have to pay the debt of freedom.”
As soon as news of Arnab’s arrest came, Kangana tweeted, ‘Why does Pappu Pro get so angry? Why do penguins get so angry? Why does Sonia Sena get so angry? Arnab sir, let them pull hair. Let us openly attack. Before hanging, let them smile on their faces. Freedom has to be repaid.

In one of her videos, Kangana said, ‘I want to ask the Maharashtra government that you have killed Arnab Goswami today, have no hair, assaulted him. How many houses will you break and how many throats, how many noises will you make. How many silences will Sonia Sena take How many martyrs have been beheaded before us. Many will shut up one voice. Why do you get so angry? Are you angry at being called Sonia Sena, then you are Sonia Sena
Let us tell you that Arnab Goswami has accused the Mumbai Police of assaulting him and his family. At the same time, Republic News Channel claims that Arnab has been arrested in the case, which has already been closed. In the pictures which have surfaced, it is claimed that there has been a clash in the house between Arnab and the police.
Indeed, Republic TV editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly abetting a 53-year-old interior designer to suicide. The police officer said that in 2018 an architect and his mother had committed suicide for allegedly not paying their dues by Republic TV to Goswami.
In May this year, Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh announced a re-order on the basis of a new complaint by Adanya Naik, the daughter of architect Anvay Naik. Deshmukh had said that Adanya alleged that the Alibaug police did not investigate Goswami’s channel for non-payment of dues. He claims that this is the reason his father and grandmother committed suicide in May 2018.
