A total of more than seven thousand beds with oxygen facilities, 1849 ICU beds and 1093 ventilator beds are available for corona infected in the capital Delhi, but there is a huge shortage of doctors and nurses.
In Delhi hospitals, 30 to 45 percent of the posts of doctors and up to 50 percent of nurses and staff are vacant in the anesthesia department. Lest the shortage of health workers should become a big problem. The number of corona infected is increasing continuously in Delhi, but the number of hospitalized patients is not increasing. Most people have mild symptoms. The number of corona infected admitted to the hospital is only 28. Apart from this, 9 people are also admitted, who have been considered as suspected patients of Corona. As a precaution, hospitals in Delhi are prepared to deal with the situation.
153 infected found : On Sunday, 153 cases of corona were reported in the capital, while 96 patients were discharged. According to the report of the Health Department, 1675 tests were done in the last 24 hours and 9.13 percent people were found to be corona infected. The total active cases of corona have increased to 528. Of these, 340 patients are in home isolation and 35 patients are hospitalized. Out of the hospitalized patients, 19 patients are admitted in ICU. However, most do not have serious symptoms. Patients have been kept in ICU as a precaution.
Safdarjung: 210 beds reserved
210 beds have been reserved for corona patients in Safdarjung Hospital. Right now only one corona suspect is admitted here. Medical Superintendent of the hospital, Dr. BL Sherwal said that ventilators, oxygen and bipep machines are available in sufficient quantity. The condition is also normal.
RML: made two separate wards
Sanitization work was being done at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital on Sunday. Here two wards have been reserved for corona patients. Both the wards will have the facility of 28-28 beds. Apart from this, ventilator and ICU will also be made available on the basis of need.
Lok Nayak: Checking on seeing symptoms
Patients coming to emergency at Loknayak Hospital are being tested for corona if they show symptoms. Staff is being asked to sanitize from time to time in emergency. Dr. Suresh Kumar, Medical Director of the hospital said that there are 450 beds for corona patients. Other arrangements including ICU have been made in these. Currently only one serious patient is admitted on ventilator in the hospital.
