Amid the continuing tussle between Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot, Rajasthan Congress chief Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa said on Tuesday that it is up to Gehlot to respond to the ultimatum given by Pilot. Randhawa said, “He has given an ultimatum to the CM. It is the CM who can answer his ultimatum. When it comes to the Congress party, I will definitely answer you.”
Rajasthan Congress chief Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa said, “They (Ashok Gehlot-Sachin Pilot) are not the only leaders in Rajasthan. There are many more leaders. I am talking to all of them, leaders of all communities.” Pilot has threatened Gehlot that he will launch a statewide agitation if his demands are not acted upon by the end of the month.
Randhawa had said on Saturday that the Congress would not throw out dissidents, but reminded how leaders in the past had fared after leaving the party. He had said, “The party never wants to expel anyone. Congress is a party that respects every individual and never wants to leave those who have been with them for a long time. Congress never expelled anyone and those who left Congress You all know his condition.
Pilot has threatened Gehlot that he will launch a statewide agitation if his demands are not acted upon by the end of the month. The rivalry between the Pilot camp and the Gehlot camp took an ugly turn after a day-long fast against the alleged inaction of the Gehlot government over corruption charges against the previous BJP government. The pilots did not stop here, they went on a five-day and 125 kilometer ‘Jan Sangharsh Yatra’ from Ajmer to Jaipur.
