Chhattisgarh: After five days, Rahul came out of Bolwell, his father’s heart was filled, he said – he is not a rescue worker, my Lord Jagannath


Rahul Sahu, who fell into a 69 feet deep borewell in Janjgir-Champa district of Chhattisgarh, was rescued after a continuous operation for 104 hours. Rahul’s father said on Thursday that I see Lord Jagannath in the rescue worker who saved my son. Because the survival of my son was not possible without the blessings of Lord Jagannath.

11-year-old Rahul Sahu was rescued from a borewell during the bathing ceremony of Lord Jagannath on Tuesday, the day of Snan Purnima. Rahul’s father Ramkumar Sahu told a group of journalists from Odisha that we believe that Lord Jagannath sent an NDRF rescue team to rescue my son.

Recalling an incident, he said that Rahul had gone missing for some time during a family visit to Puri several years ago. Later he was found near one of the gates of the temple of Lord Jagannath.

The father thanked the rescue team especially NDRF from Cuttack and said, I see Lord Jagannath in them. He skipped food and had sleepless nights to save Rahul. It is because of his efforts that my son has come out of his mouth.

Ramkumar Sahu said that after Rahul’s recovery, he will go to Puri again, Rahul is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. The boy contracted the infection due to his long stay in the tunnel. The father said that he would be kept under observation for another seven days.
