Champawat by-election: Date announced, voting will be held on May 31, Pushkar will have to feed lotus to remain CM



The date of by-election for Champawat seat has been announced. Voting will be held on May 31 and counting will be held on June 3. For the first time, by-election will be held in Champawat seat. Announcing the date of the by-election, the Election Commission said that by-elections for the Brajrajnagar (Odisha), Thrikkakara (Kerala) and Champawat (Uttarakhand) assembly constituencies will be held on May 31. Counting of votes will take place on June 3.

Who will give competition to BJP candidate and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami from this seat from Congress, it has not been disclosed yet. Kailash Gahatodi was elected MLA for the second consecutive time from Champawat seat. On the day of counting of votes, on March 10, he had also resigned from this seat on April 21, proposing to leave the Champawat seat for the Chief Minister.

In the election season of Champawat, all the ministers of the government and the office-bearers of the party will also take the front. The party is making a separate strategy for the Champawat by-election. Recently, in the meeting of National Organization General Secretary BL Santosh, a team was announced for Champawat by-election. The party will now form teams for different tasks. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will contest from this seat. The party has started work on weak booths in this seat as well. The responsibility of the workers has been fixed at each booth.
