The seventh session of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly resumed on 19 September. Where the proceedings of the house were first adjourned for five minutes and later till tomorrow i.e. Tuesday, amid the uproar by the MLAs of the opposition BJP.
BJP MLA from Pushkar Suresh Singh Rawat brought a cow with him to protest the lumpi disease and death of cows. Not only this, when the MLA was giving a statement outside the assembly, the cow ran away after freeing the rope. After this the people accompanying Rawat tried to catch the cow by running back.
Let us inform that three MLAs of the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) raised the issue of Lumpi, a skin disease spreading in the cow dynasty. He had taken the poster. The proceedings of the House were first adjourned for five minutes and then till tomorrow amid the uproar. Earlier, BJP members also staged a sit-in in the office of the Speaker, Dr. CP Joshi.
Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said, “I organized a meeting on August 15 regarding lumpy skin disease and called the leaders of the opposition, talked to everyone, talked to religious leaders. Our priority is how to save the lives of cows from lumpi disease, but the Government of India will provide the vaccine, they will provide the medicines, so in such a situation, we are demanding from the Government of India that you declare it a national calamity. Leaders of the opposition should support us on this demand, instead they are staging a sit-in here, doing drama while sitting here. We are worried about lumpi disease, would like the opposition to cooperate with us.
An MLA reached near the assembly premises with a cow to draw attention to lumpi disease. However, this cow did not go inside the premises. It is noteworthy that the meeting of the seventh session of the Legislative Assembly was last adjourned indefinitely on 28 March.
