Big blow to BJP in Tamil Nadu, 13 IT wing officials join AIADMK; coalition in danger

There is a fierce tussle between the BJP and the AIADMK in Tamil Nadu. There is no surety when this alliance will collapse. AIADMK Chief E Palaniswami has said that BJP has deviated from coalition dharma. Last week, five BJP leaders joined the AIADMK. These included CRT Nirmal, the IT wing chief of the BJP in the state. On the day of Holi, once again the BJP got a setback. In support of Nirmal, 13 other BJP members left the party.

Kumar had joined the AIADMK on Sunday. He had accused BJP unit chief Annamalai of having a nexus with a DMK minister. Let us inform that since 2019, the AIADMK has lost three elections by fighting with the BJP. The AIADMK had to face defeat in the recently held by-polls as well. However, both of them did not even campaign together in this. Sources say that the party holds the BJP responsible for this defeat.

In November last year, Palaniswami had even said that he did not want to meet Amit Shah during his visit to the state. On the other hand, Annamalai had said that the way Palaniswami is running away from him, it seems that the BJP has become strong in the state. At the same time, AIADMK had said that BJP is negligible in the state. Party spokesperson Kovai Sathyan had said that Annamalai is the manager of a corporate party. He had said that when the leaders of our party go to their party, they celebrate by beating their chest, but when someone comes to us with their parchi, they start making noise.

Let us tell you that many leaders of AIADM had joined BJP, including former minister Nainar Nagendran. Trouble struck when the BJP, which had only four MLAs in the Assembly of 234, declared itself the main opposition party amid tensions with Panneerselvam.
