Bengal ministers do not talk even after calling 10 times, Union Minister and Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury met

Union Minister Pratima Bhowmik on Tuesday targeted the ministers of the West Bengal government in the Lok Sabha. “If we call even 10 times, Bengal ministers don’t pick up the phone… This is the situation,” he said. He said this in response to a question related to the implementation of central government schemes in the state.

Joining Bhowmik, Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury also said that West Bengal has become a habit of not receiving calls and not listening to us. He made this statement while taking a jibe at the ruling Trinamool Congress government in the state. At the same time, TMC members got furious on these statements of Union Minister and Adhir Ranjan. He created a ruckus in the house.

BJP leader had asked the minister

West Bengal BJP leader SS Ahluwalia raised supplementary questions related to the implementation of PM-Daksh scheme in Bengal. He asked whether the minister would talk to the officials to resolve these issues. It may be known that the objective of Pradhan Mantri Daksh and Kushal Sampanna Hitgrahi (PM-Daksh) scheme is to teach skills to the youth of various backward classes including scheduled castes.

‘The people with the minister are also afraid to give the number’

Bhowmik, Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, answered Ahluwalia’s question. He said, ‘Even if we call the ministers of West Bengal even 10 times, they do not talk. And those who are with the ministers are also afraid to share their mobile numbers. This is the situation.’

‘Trying to distribute 12 crore equipment but…’

Congress leader in the House Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury represents the Berhampur constituency in West Bengal. He appealed to the minister to help develop Murshidabad. In response, Bhowmik said that since becoming a minister, she has been trying to distribute equipment worth Rs 12 crore to differently-abled and senior citizens in the district for the last one year, but has not been successful.
