The High Court has imposed a ban on the arrest of Bagga. Justice Anoop Chitkara gave this decision while hearing Bagga’s petition at his home late in the night.

On the High Court order, Bagga’s lawyer Chetan Mittal said that the court has said not to take any coercive step till May 10. The court has stayed the arrest warrant. Mittal said that the hearing in the court lasted for about 45 minutes.

The Mohali court had issued an arrest warrant against Bagga on Saturday evening itself. The matter is to be heard on May 23. But before that, Bagga reached the Punjab-Haryana High Court against the arrest warrant. BJP MP Tejashwi Surya also informed news agency ANI by tweeting about the relief from Corte.

After the court’s decision, BJP leader RP Singh in Delhi said that the Punjab Police was booked against Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga. Only out of political jealousy are they repeatedly taking action against some people. We will fight against it and ensure that truth will prevail.

But on the order of the court, the common man said that the Mohali High Court has not given any relief to BJP leader Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga. The court has not stayed the arrest warrant. The Punjab Police has told the court that it will not arrest Bagga till 11 am on May 10.

Regarding the decision of the court, Bagga’s father PP Singh said that I am happy that Tajinder has got relief from the Punjab High Court. They (Punjab government) want to drag him into some issue or the other. They will keep filing FIRs but we are not going to stop, this fight will go on for a long time.

Yesterday, Bagga warned Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal that his fight would continue till Kejriwal apologized for his remarks on Kashmiri Pandits. Bagga termed Friday’s action by the Punjab Police as illegal. He alleged that the Punjab Police treated him like a terrorist.

Talking to the media on Saturday morning, Bagga said that the Punjab Police arrested him like a terrorist on Friday. The police did not even show him the warrant. At the same time, the request to wear a turban was also ignored. About eight police personnel picked up and put them in their vehicle. He had kidnapped me. Bagga said that around 50 policemen in ten vehicles had come to his house. It can also be seen on CCTV. They allege that it indicates that whoever speaks against Arvind Kejriwal will be treated like a terrorist.

Bagga challenged the Aam Aadmi Party and the Chief Minister to continue opposing the Chief Minister’s statement on Kashmir files. This statement of his has insulted Kashmiri Pandits. The Chief Minister should apologize in this matter.
