Another blow to Kejriwal government, LG approves CBI probe in low floor bus purchase case

Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena has approved the proposal of Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar to refer a complaint related to alleged corruption in the purchase of 1,000 low-floor buses by the Delhi Transport Corporation to the CBI. According to an official statement, the LG Secretariat Office had received a complaint in this matter.

Recently, the CBI had searched the house of Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and his other places. After which both the parties have been accusing each other of corruption. The BJP has been accusing the Delhi government of corruption not only in the liquor policy but also in the field of education.

Kejriwal did the strength test

Last month, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had alleged that the BJP was trying to topple the elected government in Delhi. Kejriwal also claimed that the BJP has earmarked Rs 800 crore to buy his MLAs. Even as Kejriwal conducted a floor test in the assembly, Kejriwal said it was a message that the attempt to topple the government had failed.
