Alleged smoking in toilet of London-Mumbai flight, passenger handed over to police

The incidents of misbehavior during the flight are not taking the name of stopping. A passenger on board an Air India flight from London to Mumbai has been accused of smoking in the toilet. Not only this, this person is also accused of behaving rudely. This person has been handed over to the security personnel. The airline gave this information on Sunday.

Information given to DGCA

Air India said in a statement that the incident, which took place on March 10, has been reported to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). According to Air India, on March 10, a passenger on our London-Mumbai flight AI130 was found smoking in the toilet. Thereafter, despite repeated warnings, he behaved rudely and aggressively. On reaching Mumbai, the aircraft was handed over to the security personnel. The airline said that the regulator has been duly informed about the incident. It has been said in the statement that we are fully cooperating in the ongoing investigation regarding the matter.

Two incidents have happened in January

It may be noted that Tata Group-owned Air India was penalized twice by aviation security regulator DGCA in January this year for not reporting two separate incidents of unruly passengers on its international flights. Air India follows a zero-tolerance policy towards any behavior that compromises the safety of passengers and employees, the airline said in a statement on Sunday.
