Agneepath Protest News: The fourth day of nationwide protests against the Agneepath scheme came to an end amid much uproar and violent incidents. On Saturday, the central government tried to pacify the youth agitators through big announcements through various ministries but they did not listen. In the CAPFs, Assam Rifles and the Ministry of Defense, it was announced to give 10 percent reservation to the future Agniveers. There was also talk of providing degree programs and skill development training, but nothing has worked so far. Talking about today’s major developments, Bihar was again the most affected. Here the railway has suffered a loss of more than 200 crores. Apart from this, 138 FIRs have been registered for the arrest of more than 718 people. Seeing the matter increasing, the central government has announced to give Y grade security to 10 including Bihar BJP leaders and Deputy CM.

On Saturday, the government tried to pacify the agitators with a big announcement through various ministries to quell the violent agitation of the future Agniveers, which has not been successful yet. First, the Ministry of Home Affairs in its order talked about giving 10-10 percent reservation in CAPFs and Assam Rifles. After some time, Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh also announced to give 10 percent reservation in the jobs of the ministry.

Police verification will not be possible, warns of Air Force Chief

Amidst the ongoing protests against the Agneepath scheme, Air Force Chief BR Chaudhary also cautioned the agitating youth. Said that if they become a part of this violent demonstration, then the important link for the upcoming job will not be able to pass the police verification.

Sports Ministry also came forward

Union Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs Anurag Singh Thakur announced that Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) will organize an outreach program across the country for the Agneepath scheme. “This scheme empowers the youth in many ways and is a step towards building a prosperous career,” he said.

Degree Program for Agniveers

In order to enhance the future career prospects of Agniveers and to prepare them for various jobs in the civil sector, the Ministry of Education has decided to launch a special three-year skill-based graduate degree program for serving Defense personnel. This program will be conducted by IGNOU.

Skill Development Training for Agniveers

Skill India and the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) will work closely with various wings of the Armed Forces to train future Agniveers in additional skills as well. To make them better suited for civil jobs. Agniveers will get Skill India certification while in service, which will enable them to get a wide range of opportunities in entrepreneurship and job.

Priority to Agniveers in Police Forces

Several state governments have announced that after serving in the armed forces for four years, Agniveers will be given preference to fill vacancies in the state police forces. The Karnataka government also announced this on Saturday.
