In Rajasthan’s Jodhpur, curfew has been imposed in many areas till tomorrow. This decision has been taken in view of the tension after the ruckus on the occasion of Eid. It has been told that curfew has been imposed in a total of 10 police station areas. At the same time, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has called a meeting regarding this matter. Meanwhile, the Union Home Ministry has sought a report on the incident.
Curfew has been imposed in these areas
According to the order issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Rajkumar Chaudhary, curfew has been imposed in Udaymandir, Sadar Kotwali, Sadar Bazar, Nagori Gate, Khanda Falsa in the police station area of District East of Jodhpur Commissionerate. Apart from this, orders for imposition of curfew have also been issued in the police station areas of Pratapnagar, Pratapnagar Sadar, Devnagar, Sursagar and Sardarpura of District West. It has been said in the order that curfew will continue in these areas from 1 pm today till 12 midnight tomorrow. According to this, no person will come out of his home border without permission letter. Along with this, it has also been said that in view of the situation, the duration of curfew can also be extended. Earlier, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had reacted to the incident and called it unfortunate. He also appealed to everyone to maintain peace.
Fear of controversy over hoisting religious flag
Significantly, there was a ruckus on Monday night at the Jalori Gate intersection of the city. It is believed that this dispute has happened over the removal of the religious flag. After this the internet service in the district was suspended till further orders. It is being told about the incident that an argument over a small matter later turned into a fight. The controversy erupted on Monday night when a flag was erected on the statue of freedom fighter Bal Mukund Bissa at the crossroads and Eid banners at the intersection circle. Apart from this, angry people gathered to install loudspeakers till the crossroads for Eid prayers.
