It is said that the court had earlier ordered a warrant and attachment-confiscation against Laxminarayan Master, a resident of Atmiganj in Nasriganj, in a murder case. The court sent letters several times to ensure compliance of the order. A reminder was also issued to the SP. But, the accused in the case was neither arrested and produced nor the report of attachment-confiscation was presented.

On this, the court had issued a show cause notice to the SP on June 20. On not responding, the court had issued a letter on July 22 asking the SP to appear physically on August 3 and show cause. It is said that on April 7, the High Court had ordered the lower court to execute the case within three months in any case. After this the court took action. The court had also warned of disciplinary action in the past for not submitting the Tamil Nadu report. It may be noted that the trial of the case has been going on for 42 years.

Ramanuj Singh alias Chhedi Singh was shot dead in Atmiganj village of Nasariganj police station area. On 18 September 1979, a case of murder was registered against the six accused (Nasariganj Police Station Case No. 06/1979). Four of the accused died during the trial. The trial of the case (Trial No. 115/1980) is pending in the court for the presence of two accused persons Ram Niwas Singh and Laxmi Narayan Master. The matter was being monitored by the High Court of Patna and the High Court had on April 7 this year asked the sessions court to conclude the trial within three months. The trial court of First Additional District and Sessions Judge (ADJ) Sasaram Manoj Kumar had issued arrest warrants against both the accused. But the police failed to do so.
