This year Goa, Nainital, Rishikesh, Gangtok and Mount Abu have emerged as the top 5 favorite destinations to visit with family during summer vacations. This claim has been made in a survey by Ayo, a travel and hospitality service provider. This survey has been done under the name ‘Summer Vacation Destinations Index – Family Edition 2022’. The opinion of 1,072 people was taken in the survey conducted in the first two weeks of June. In this, the highest 41 percent of the people described Goa as their favorite place for family holidays with children.

In this survey, 85 percent of parents said that they found it difficult to work and keep children busy, so they planned to travel with the family. According to this survey, more than 65 percent of parents in India intend to travel with their children this summer.

The top 5 destinations include Goa, Nainital, Rishikesh, Gangtok and Mount Abu. The choice of Goa by 41 percent of the people testifies that the seaside destination remains more favored than the mountains. Apart from these, other favorite destinations include Puducherry, McLeodganj and Mahabaleshwar.

Srirang Godbole, Senior Vice President and Chief Services Officer, Oyo, says that more parents are preferring hill stations or beaches for summer vacations. In choosing a hotel, people preferred the swimming pool, children’s play area and large in-room television.

Girijansh Gopalan, founder of Bastapack Adventure, told that the crowd in Rishikesh has started increasing a lot. Especially in the city. In such a situation, people have started moving away from the city towards Mohanchatti etc. in order to avoid the crowd. Camping, rafting etc. options are available in such places. Girijansh said that home stays in the mountains are also being liked a lot.
