Maharashtra ATS has arrested three gangster associates of gangster-terrorist Harvinder Singh alias Rinda from Thane. ATS says all three gangsters have been in contact with Rinda. Rinda was a resident of Tarn Taran district of Punjab. At the age of 11, he was sent from Punjab to live in Nanded Hazur Sahib, Maharashtra, but from an early age he started developing criminal tendencies.
First murder at the age of 18
According to police records, Rinda committed the first murder at the age of 18. In Tarn Taran, a relative related to a dispute in the family was killed. After committing the murder, he started on the path of crime. In Maharashtra’s Nanded Sahib, he started extorting money by threatening the local traders. Killed two people. Two FIRs were registered in Wazirabad and Vimantal police stations on charges of murder, attempt to murder, Arms Act etc. After this, two more cases were registered in 2016 and he was included in the list of proclaimed offenders and arrested.
After being declared a criminal, the family members applied to shift Rinda to Punjab. Punjab was a safe haven for Rinda. In 2016, he entered student politics from the Punjab University (PU) campus.
Entered student politics to spread fear
While in student politics, he wanted to spread fear among students and people. He started it with the leaders of the Students’ Union of India (SOI). Shots were fired at them. In April 2018, famous Punjabi singer Parmish Verma was attacked in Mohali. In this way, a dozen cases were registered against Rinda in Punjab.

According to the Indian Express report, Rinda reached Pakistan via Nepal. He traveled with a fake passport. The report claimed that Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI gave him protection. In all the cases registered against Rinda in Chandigarh, he was declared a proclaimed offender.
According to The Print report, after moving to Pakistan, Rinda joined the Khalistan terrorist group Babbar Khalsa International. He carried out many incidents. After this he joined the list of most wanted gangsters of India. Not only this, Interpol also issued a red notice against him. The news of his death in November was suspicious. In media reports, the reason for his death was also told to ISI. Although the Bambiha gang took responsibility for his death, this news also came to the fore, but official confirmation could not be done.
