After being declared a criminal, the family members applied to shift Rinda to Punjab. Punjab was a safe haven for Rinda. In 2016, he entered student politics from the Punjab University (PU) campus.

Entered student politics to spread fear

While in student politics, he wanted to spread fear among students and people. He started it with the leaders of the Students’ Union of India (SOI). Shots were fired at them. According to a Chandigarh Police official, his plan failed due to the huge crowd. In April 2018, famous Punjabi singer Parmish Verma was attacked in Mohali. In this way, a dozen cases were registered against Rinda in Punjab.

According to the Indian Express report, Rinda reached Pakistan via Nepal. He traveled with a fake passport. The report claimed that Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI gave him protection. In all the cases registered against Rinda in Chandigarh, he was declared a proclaimed offender.

According to The Print report, after moving to Pakistan, Rinda joined the Khalistan terrorist group Babbar Khalsa International. He carried out many incidents. After this he joined the list of most wanted gangsters of India. Not only this, Interpol also issued a red notice against him. The news of his death in November was suspicious. In media reports, the reason for his death was also told to ISI. Although the Bambiha gang took responsibility for his death, this news also came to the fore, but official confirmation could not be done.
