  1. Article 370- Prime Minister Narendra Modi had told on August 5, 2019 that he has the power to take big decisions. With the abolition of Article 370, the central government abolished the privileges of Kashmir and created two union territories in the form of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.

  3. budget date The date of the budget was changed after PM Modi came to the government. Before the Modi government came, the budget was presented on the last date of February, 28 or 29 February. But, the budget is presented on 1 February.
  4. CAA-NRC- PM Modi implemented the Citizenship Amendment Act on 10 January 2020 and this decision was also considered as his historic decision. He talked about celebrating International Yoga Day on 27 September 2014 in the United Nations.   6. Ministry of Jal Shakti- It was PM Modi who formed the Ministry of Jal Shakti. The Modi government merged the Ministries of Water Resources and Drinking Water and Sanitation to form the Ministry of Jal Shakti.
  7. Balakot Air Strike- When India was attacked in Pulwama, PM Modi decided to conduct Balakot air strike to give reply to Pakistan. The Indian Army conducted an air strike on 26 February 2019 and gave a befitting reply to Pakistan by bombarding Pakistan.
  8. Demonetisation- Demonetisation is one of the most important decisions of the Modi government. This decision was taken by PM Modi on 8 November 2016, in which he announced the ban of 500 and 1000 notes. Although, it was criticized a lot later, but history will always remember this decision of PM Modi.
  9. merger of public sector banks On April 1, 2020, the Modi government had announced the merger of 10 state-owned banks of the country to form 4 big banks. The merged banks included Oriental Bank of Commerce, United Bank, Syndicate Bank, Allahabad Bank, Andhra Bank and Corporation Bank.
  10. lockdown- When the corona virus was knocking in the country, PM Modi decided for a nationwide lockdown. This decision will always be remembered. Although this was the need of the time, but PM Modi will be the first Prime Minister to make such an announcement.
  11. Name of PM residence- Race Course Road in Delhi was renamed as Lok Kalyan Marg, where the Prime Minister’s residence is located. Since then the PM’s house was known as Lok Kalyan Marg.
  12. handicapped disabled- It was PM Modi who took the initiative to use the word Divyang in place of the word handicapped. This decision of PM Modi was highly appreciated.
  13. Central Vista- The Prime Minister has launched the Central Vista in Delhi. Through this a new Parliament is being constructed and the surrounding area is being rejuvenated. ‘Central Vista’ is PM Modi’s most ambitious and controversial project worth Rs 20,000 crore.

  16. Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme- PM Kisan Yojana was implemented from 1st December 2018. Under this scheme, all eligible farmers having land are eligible to get financial assistance of Rs.6,000 per year. The amount is deposited directly into the bank account in 3 equal installments of Rs.2,000 every 4 months.
  17. NITI Aayog- PM Modi made the Planning Commission set up by Jawaharlal Nehru in 1950 as NITI Aayog i.e. National Institution for Transforming India (NITI) with effect from January 1, 2015.
  18. GST- The Prime Minister believes in equality in the country and implemented GST under one nation, one tax policy. The tax received under the new policy is divided into two parts. 50 per cent goes to the center and 50 per cent to the state government. It was considered the biggest step in the financial system.
  19. Foundation of Ram Mandir- On 5 August 2020, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation of the Ram temple in Ayodhya and after the Bhumi Pujan, the construction of the temple started. This special moment has also been recorded in the pages of history.
  20. One Nation, One Ration Card- After coming to power for the second time, the Modi government started the ‘One Nation, One Ration Card’ scheme. With this, any person on the same ration card can take ration from any fair price shop in any part of the country.
  21. Navy- Recently PN Modi also unveiled the new naval flag (mark) of the Indian Navy. Which is in line with the rich Indian maritime heritage, removing the past of the British era.
  22. triple talaq law There are three important methods of divorce, which include talaq-ul-biddat, talaq-e-hasan and talaq-e-ahsan. The Modi government had declared talaq-ul-biddat unconstitutional, often referred to as triple talaq. PM Modi took this decision on September 19, 2018.
  23. War Memorial- The War Memorial was built by the Modi government for the soldiers who died for India. Here the names of 25,942 soldiers are written in golden letters. It was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 25 February 2019.
