Margaret Alva: Phone tap allegation: Is Margaret Alva fed up with fake messages?

In this context, the Congress tweeted that all Karnataka MPs should stand together and vote for Margaret Alva, who is a Kannadigas, in unity.

When Murmu was a presidential candidate, MPs from Orissa stood behind him. Similarly, Margaret Alva being a Kannadigar, becoming the Vice President will be a matter of pride for Kannadigas. In this regard, non-partisan support has been requested.

Voting for the election to be held for the post of Vice President will be held from 10 am to 5 pm. Counting of votes will be done immediately after the polling. The result will be announced by Saturday evening.

The General Secretary of the Lok Sabha has been appointed as the Returning Officer for the elections. NDA candidate Jagdeep Dhankar’s victory in this election is almost certain. Ahead of the Vice President election, the BJP had also organized mock polls for the NDA coalition MPs on Friday.

BJP National President JP Nadda and several Union Ministers were present during the mock voting.
