Leader of Opposition Siddaramaiah also condoled the death of Umesh Katti and said, ‘I am deeply saddened by the demise of Minister of Food and Civil Supplies Department Umesh Katti. Member of Legislative Council Basavaraja Horatti also mourned Katti’s death and said, ‘The untimely death of Food, Civil Supplies and Forests Minister Umesh Katti has come as a shock. Umesh Katthi and I were in the JDS party for many years. He was very friendly. He had a special admiration for North Karnataka and was always concerned about the development of North Karnataka. His departure is like losing a Mutsaddi leader of North Karnataka.
Horatti said that he will pray to God to give him the strength to bear the grief of his separation.
