Bengaluru: The Janotsava program scheduled to be held on September 8 has been postponed to Sunday due to the death of Minister Umesh Katti.

A Janotsava program was organized in Doddballapur on Thursday after one year of the state government. But in the wake of Minister Umesh Katti’s death on Tuesday, there were differences of opinion regarding the program planning.

Body airlifted to Belgaum

The body of minister Umesh Katti, who died of heart attack on Tuesday night, was airlifted to Belgaum by a special plane. Due to inclement weather, the body could not be airlifted in the morning as scheduled.

Earlier, the mortal remains were hoisted at the HAL Airport to pay respects with the national flag. Opposition Leader Siddaramaiah, BJP National General Secretary CT Ravi, Minister Bairati Basavaraja, Parishad Member H. Dignitaries including Vishwanath received the final darshan.
