There is no religion behind police action, only criminal background counts: Home Minister Araga Gyanendra

Bangalore: Home Minister Araga Gyanendra said that before taking action against the criminals, the police consider only the background of the crimes and not the caste or religion.

Speaking at his residence in Bengaluru on Thursday, the minister requested everyone to cooperate with the police personnel who are responsible for maintaining peace, order and harmony in the society.

The minister said that action will be taken against anyone who takes the law into his hands and said that NIA personnel have searched many places based on certain information.

The Shimoga police have arrested two persons on information that they are connected with a terrorist organization and are investigating. The minister also said that he congratulated the Shimoga police for their speedy investigation.

Reacting strongly to the pay CM campaign being run by the Congress leaders, the minister expressed outrage that the frustrated Congress leaders are doing such low-level politics as people are alienating themselves from the party.

He said that the leader of the Congress party and the former assembly speaker had already told about the corruption of the Congress leaders and exposed the colors of the Congress leaders.
