Siddaramotsava: This is the first time I participated in the birthday program: Rahul Gandhi

He was speaking at Siddaramaiah’s 75th Amrita Mahotsava program in Davangere. Rahul Gandhi started his speech by saying that he would like to offer his condolences to all the family members who died due to heavy rains in Karnataka recently. But I participated because of the special bond between me and Siddaramaiah. I like Siddaramaiah a lot as a person. Not only that, he also said that I admire his ideas.

Rahul Gandhi said that I admire Siddaramaiah’s attitude and commitment towards the poor and the downtrodden. He had a vision about all the problems of Karnataka, about the poor. Above all, his commitment to social justice for everyone is admirable. But there is no such commitment in the present government of Karnataka. The BJP government is contrary to Siddaramaiah’s commitment to this. He criticized that if the Congress government worked to create harmony among the people of Karnataka and the country, the BJP is working to break it.
