After Leader of Opposition Siddaramaiah spoke about the scam, Congress MLA Priyank Kharge said that the investigation into the PSI recruitment case is limited to the Jnanjyoti College examination center in Kalaburagi. Vidhana Soudha is a business building. He demanded to widen the scope of this investigation. He lashed out at the government and demanded an opportunity to speak further.
But the members of the Congress staged a protest in the House, alleging that they were not allowed to do so. They displayed placards saying 40% government in the well of the House and shouted slogans against the government. In return, the BJP members also shouted slogans against the Congress.
P. Rajeev raised the objection
P. Rajeev raised the issue while speaking to Priyank Kharge under rule 69 about PSS exam irregularities.
Priyank was not the registrar of the criminal case regarding the PSI irregularity during the pressmeet. The first notice was issued under Section 91 CrPC and the second notice was issued under CrPC 160. When notice under 160 is given, such information should be shared. The source of the information should be told to the investigating officer. He accused them of doing unconstitutional work.
Transparent investigation: Araga Gyanendra
Home Minister Araga Gyanendra replied to the discussion about the PSI exam scam and said that a transparent investigation has been conducted in the PSI case. The government has given a free hand to the CID police. Former CM H.D. said that the illegal investigation is going on properly
He said that he congratulated Kumaraswamy.
There have been many scams during the Congress period. In 2016-17, there was a PSI scam during the Congress period as well. But the ADGP did not arrest the Congress. We arrested the ADGP as soon as our government came to the allegation. He said, “We will continue an honest investigation.”
On this occasion, Minister Dr. K Sudhakar said that there is no truth and justice in the Congress struggle. He alleged that the Congress did not show the courtesy of asking the Home Minister’s reply.
