The Government of India is making continuous efforts to realize the real challenges and potentials of the country’s mining sector. Global demand for minerals will outstrip production over the next 25 years. So it is imperative to pay attention to the improvement of this sector. Hence, a National Mining Ministers’ Conference was organized in Hyderabad on September 9 and 10. Sessions on mining will be held in the two-day conference, and Minister Halappa Achar will share information related to the state’s mining department.
The minister will give a demonstration about the mines department of Karnataka state and the opportunities in the mining sector of the state. State Mines Department Director D. S. Ramesh will participate in the program along with the minister.
The convention is being held with the objective of strengthening the relationship between the Ministry of Mines and various state governments. Current efforts in the mining sector and effective utilization of NMET funds by state governments will be discussed.
