Lokayukta officials raided the office of Modal’s son Prashant Modal in connection with the bribery case. Eight crore cash was found in house and office raids. In this background, Modal Virupakshappa resigned from the post of Chairman of KSDL Corporation.
Modal, who was accused A1 in the case, later went into hiding fearing arrest. Later, the High Court granted him anticipatory bail. And instructed to appear at the office of the Lokayukta within 48 hours.

Meanwhile, Lokayukta officials visited and inspected the residence of MLA Madal Virupakshappa on Wednesday. He has arrived in Bangalore after obtaining anticipatory bail. Madal’s son’s house is Mahajar
Along with the Lokayukta officials, two technical experts were brought and the accused Prashant Madal’s house was also inspected. The CCTV DVR installed in the house was taken into custody by the Mahjars in the presence of Panchar.
