One person died of a Kovid infection on Thursday. The total number of deaths so far across the state has increased to 40,068. 791 cases have been detected in Bangalore alone. The alarming rise in Kovid cases in Bangalore is alarming.
Revised roadmap for infection control
The Department of Health and Family Welfare has published a revised Guidelines for the Control of Emerging Cowdig Infection in the State. A new Guideline for Infection Control has been issued based on the instructions of the Central Government and the State Kovid Technical Advisory Committee.
After the third wave of Kovid (after Omicron) no new species has been discovered. But in the wake of the increase in cases, a 2% asymptomatic sample of international travelers should be tested for new breed and tested for covid. If the infection is confirmed in the report, it is suggested that the sample be sent for genomic sequencing testing.
Genomic Sequencing Test: In each of the districts, a sample of covidates with an infection rate of less than 25% should be sent for genomic sequencing testing. It would be helpful to know whether the new breed comes from outside or is locally adapted.
Information on respiratory distress (SARI) and colds (ILI) cases should be recorded in the IDSP (Integrated Disease Surveillance Program). It is suggested that patients with SARI and ILI should be monitored and that a sample of RTPCR should be tested in every 20 cases with these symptoms.
It is suggested that laboratories should report on the report of the Covid test and the City Value Analysis of the Indian Medical Research Board (ICMR).
