Karnataka Assembly Election 2023: Congress strategy to consolidate Dalit vote: SCST unity convention on January 8
Bengaluru: In the wake of the assembly elections, the Congress has taken steps to unite the SCST votes, and in this regard, the SCST unity convention has been organized on January 8. A huge convention has been held at Chitradurga and plans have been made to include around five lakh people.

In the joint press conference of Congress leaders held at the KPCC office on Wednesday, former DCM Dr. G. Parameshwar spoke and gave information about the purpose of the convention.

Exploited communities have been supporting the Congress even before and after independence. Congress has also taken many measures for the welfare of this community. Work has been done for the development of Dalit communities in the state in many ways. But now different parties are trying to convince them, he said.

Those who don’t even put Ambedkar’s photo in their office, now go to a Dalit’s house for dinner. But he lashed out at the BJP saying that he is having hotel meals in the house of Dalits. He said that the SCST convention was organized with the aim of sending a message that we are with you in this regard.

KPCC working president Satish Jarakiholi said that more than five lakh people will participate in the convention. This will be a historic convention. Siddaramaiah’s government plans should be implemented again, he said.
