Increased traffic problem due to ‘Ikea’ in Bengaluru: MLA Manjunath requests action

Bangalore: There was a discussion in the assembly regarding the traffic problem in the Dasarahalli assembly constituency due to the recently opened Ikea home appliances store.

In the assembly on Tuesday, Dasarahalli MLA Manjunath, Peenya raised the issue of flyover traffic restriction, there is an international showroom called Ikea, there are lots of apartments including Shobha. Due to this, the traffic becomes a problem and jams for hours. He appealed to take immediate action.

Echoing this, former CM H.D. Kumaraswamy, Ikea showroom was recently inaugurated by CM Basavaraja Bommai. Thousands of vehicles are parked daily. This is causing traffic problem. He said that it is the demand of the legislators that this should be resolved.

Public Works Minister C.C. Patil, Ikea showroom is new. Due to this, people are going there more and more. Thus traffic is becoming a problem. Trouble from Ikea but they promised to take action to fix the parking system.

Earlier, Peenya gave an answer regarding the work of flyover, the cable was damaged during maintenance. Light vehicle traffic is allowed. Heavy vehicle traffic is not allowed. NHAI has taken action to correct it through a Mumbai-based agency. He said that the aim is to fix it by the end of December.
