Illegal vote list: Congress to complain to Central Election Commission

Bengaluru: The state Congress leaders have decided to take the issue of illegal vote list to its logical end and will file a complaint in this regard with the Central Election Commission on Saturday. The Congress leaders will go to the Central Election Commission near KR Circle at 12 noon and file a complaint. Congress has already lodged a complaint with the Bangalore City Police Commissioner.

Allegations that the Chilume organization has made the electoral roll illegal have now taken a serious form. The Congress has accused the BJP of using the agency to steal the private information of voters in the name of voter awareness.

An FIR has already been registered against the Chilume organization and four people have been arrested on Friday. The Election Commission has also instructed to conduct an investigation. But Leader of Opposition Siddaramaiah has alleged that CM Basavaraja Bommai is trying to protect the victims of the vote list scam.
