Former DCM Dr. G Parameshwar has been given a place in the screening committee. Parameshwar was upset with the party leaders’ move. He was the Chairman of the Manifesto Committee and was about to resign from his position.

His allegation was that he was being ignored in the party. In this context, State Congress in-charge Randeep Singh Surjewala met and held talks. Parameshwar tried to calm the resentment.

Meanwhile, he has been given a seat in the screening committee. This committee will screen the recommendations of the Election Committee. Parameshwar will play a crucial role in the screening committee.

Ticket announcement soon

Congress ticket is likely to be announced soon. The state election committee meeting will already be held. In this meeting there were discussions about candidate selection. Discussions will be held in the screening committee meeting after the state election committee meeting. Later, the Central Election Committee will finalize the candidate names.

First list announcement in 15 days

There is a demand that the ticket should be declared soon in order to start the election process and campaign. In this regard, the first list is likely to be released within 15 days. 1230 applications have been submitted for tickets, out of which no one has been finalized yet. But 98% ticket for sitting MLA is final.

Congress leaders have decided to finalize tickets based on polls in other areas. At present, the Screening Committee will hold a discussion in the meeting and finalize the name of one or two candidates in each constituency. Later, the High Command will announce the name at the Centre.
