DK Shivakumar: Disobedience of some Congress MLAs to Bharat Jodo Yatra! Dikeshi suggests no excitement

Bangalore: The discouragement of some state Congress MLAs for the ongoing Bharat Jodo Yatra led by former AICC president Rahul Gandhi has become a headache for KPCC president DK Shivakumar. Although DKSI is preparing for the success of the yatra by holding series of meetings in various districts, some MLAs and leaders are not actively involved in the meetings about the yatra.

KPCC president DK Shivakumar also expressed his displeasure over this in a meeting held at Ambedkar Bhawan in the city on Friday. Indirectly, MLAs and senior party leaders have been instructed to actively participate in the yatra. In particular, DKshi’s displeasure with reference to senior Congress leader RV Deshpande has also sparked a debate in the party.

DK Shivakumar: We have some MLAs, not ready to do party work: DK Shittu

Regarding this, KPCC President DK Shivakumar said, “You are the only one walking around with a wheel tied to your leg. But on the question of not getting adequate support from other leaders, I am getting more support and cooperation than anyone else as the party president. People visit me even at 2 am. He said that in this meeting he has instructed the MLAs and office bearers to fulfill their responsibilities with resignation.

Padayatra Karnataka entry on September 30

Bharat Jodo Padayatra will enter the state on September 30. In this background, KPCC is making great preparations. Especially, KPCC President DK Shivakumar is doing a lot to make this Yatra a success in the state. However, Siddaramaiah’s non-participation in the preliminary meeting of the faction has also raised a debate.

But Siddaramaiah accused DK Shivakumar of taking unilateral decisions on Bharat Jodo. There is also resentment that Siddaramaiah is not being invited to the meetings to formulate the outlines of the walk. Rumors are being heard in the party circle that DK Sivakumar’s intention is to make this program a success as an alternative to Siddaramautsavam. All in all, even before Bharat Jodo set foot in Karnataka, confusion is flaring up in the party.
