December is the deadline for distribution of one crore Ayushman cards

Bengaluru: By December, Ayushman Bharat-Arogya Karnataka cards will be distributed to 50% of the eligible people in the state. Health and Medical Education Minister Dr. K. Sudhakar said that preparations have been made to distribute a total of 1 crore cards.

Speaking to reporters, the minister said that one crore cards have been prepared in a very short period of time. Karnataka has emerged as a model state in the whole country in Ayushman card distribution. Ayushman cards will be distributed to all eligible people soon under the leadership of Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommai.

Chikkaballapur, Haveri and Bangalore Rural districts have performed best in card distribution, with one-third of the beneficiaries already registered. The field officers of the health department are successfully campaigning for the registration of the cards.

As on November 11, registration of one crore cards has been successfully completed. Such a significant achievement is due to the joint efforts of District Collectors, Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officers, District Health Officers and District Leprosy Department officers. He explained that DHOs and DLOs are also conducting regular progress checks.

Card for next March to all eligible

The continuous effort of the EDCS department is commendable and efforts are being made to reach the daily target in Gram One centers. Large scale camps are also being organized for this. AB-PMJAY is a national scheme and registration process is going on in every state. The minister said that they have also started a campaign to create co-branded cards.
