Bangalore: CM Siddaramaiah-led Congress cabinet expansion circus has intensified. In the first phase, eight people got a place in the cabinet, now it is curious who will get the ministerial position in the second phase.

On the occasion of Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar taking oath, there was a thought of forming a full-fledged cabinet. But it was not possible due to the huge number of aspirants.

The Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar faction is lobbying hard to join the cabinet. In this regard, CM Siddaramaiah and DCM DK Shivakumar have gone to Delhi and will hold consultations with the elders.

Expansion of residual volume

As 135 people have been elected this time, there is a pressure to give priority to new faces along with seniors in the cabinet. On the other hand, Siddaramaiah and DK are trying to give ministerial positions to their supporters. In this background, volume expansion remains a problem.

Senior and junior Congress MLAs have gone to Delhi to lobby for ministerial post, MLAs Krishnabairegowda, Dinesh Gundurao, Nagendra, Satish Jarakiholi, Santhosh Lad, Vijayananda Kashappanavar, D.K.Shivakumar, Lakshmi Hebbalkar, H.K.Patil, Pradeep Eshwar, Dr.M.C. Many Congress MLAs, including Sudhakar, Basavarajarayardy, Vinay Kulkarni, K.H.Muniyappa, have left as a team on the same day.

Cabinet expansion is complicated in all these respects and the final decision is likely to be taken after CM Siddaramaiah, DCM DK Shivakumar held a consultation with AICC president Mallikarjuna Kharge and other senior leaders in Delhi on May 25.
