UPSSSC: Applications started for recruitment to 709 posts of Forest Guard in UP, will have to run 25 km.

UPSSSC Forest Guard recruitment 2023: The process of online application for recruitment to 709 posts of Forest Guard and Wildlife Guard by Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has started today from 20th September. The application link has been activated on the official website upsssc.gov.in. There are 693 vacancies for Forest Guard and 16 vacancies for Wildlife Guard. The last date for application is 10 October. Amendments can be made till October 17. Only those who appear in the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET-2022) will be eligible for this recruitment.

reservation in recruitment

Of the total posts of Forest Guard, there are 333 unreserved, 189 posts for Scheduled Castes, five Scheduled Tribes, 97 for Other Backward Classes and 69 for Economically Weaker Sections. In Wildlife Guard, there are eight posts for unreserved category, three for Scheduled Caste, four for backward class and one for economically weaker section.

Age Range

Those aged between 18 to 40 years will be eligible.

Ability

Those who have passed Intermediate from UP Board or its equivalent examination from a recognized institution will be eligible for recruitment. Preference will be given to those with minimum two years of service in the Territorial Army, National Cadet Corps B certificate, certificate in computer applications from an institution recognized by the Central or State Government or who have represented the State in any sport.

Salary – After appointment to these posts, the candidate will get Rs 5200- Rs 20200 (Grade Pay 1900/-), on the basis of Level-2.

physical fitness

Height – Must be at least 168 cm. Relaxation of 8 cm in length for SC ST.
Chest expansion – 84 cm. SC ST relaxation of 2 cm. Mandatory expansion of 5 cm.

Female – Must be at least 152 cms. Relaxation of 5 cm in length for SC ST.

physical test

-Has to complete a 25 km race in 4 hours with a weight of 10 kg.
– Women will have to complete the 14 km race in 4 hours.

Selection – Candidates will be shortlisted for the main examination on the basis of UPSSSC PET 2022 score. Candidates successful in the main written examination will be called for physical test.
