Demand to start recruitment process for the posts of Agricultural Technical Assistant soon
Competitive Chhatra Sangharsh Samiti has demanded to start the recruitment process soon for the Agricultural Technical Assistant posts pending for the last 10 months. The students associated with the committee have issued a jointly signed statement saying that the advertisement for recruitment to 3446 posts of Agricultural Technical Assistant was to be issued in the year 2022, which has not been issued even after 10 months. In this regard, agricultural students protested several times at the Public Service Commission and the Subordinate Services Selection Commission, but no hearing has taken place till now.
Students say that earlier this recruitment was done by the Public Service Commission, in 2013 an advertisement for recruitment on 6628 posts was issued in which the students had approached the High Court regarding gross irregularities and reservation discrepancy. In this, the High Court ordered to cancel the entire recruitment process and complete the recruitment process afresh within 6 months. After this, the selected students went to the Supreme Court against the decision of the High Court, in which the Supreme Court gave an interim order on 30 September 2019, stopping the joining of recruitment on 906 posts and adding them to the new recruitment advertisement, giving relaxation in the age limit and PET to all the applicants and giving them direct admission. Permission granted to appear in the main examination.
