UPPSC: Recruitment will soon take place on 6970 posts stuck in eligibility disputes, equivalence of graduation decided

Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission is going to start the recruitment process soon for 6970 posts stuck in the eligibility dispute. The Personnel Department has instructed the heads of departments to modify such proposals and send them to the Commission. Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission has the right to recruit for Group ‘C’ and ‘D’ posts in the state. Recruitment to Group ‘A’ and ‘B’ posts is done by Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission. Since the situation regarding the eligibility of graduates was not clear, the Public Service Commission had returned the proposals received for recruitment to 6970 posts to the concerned departments.

Recently, a meeting of recruitment commissions and board chairmen was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. In this, instructions were given to speed up the recruitment process. Commissions and boards were instructed to start taking applications by issuing advertisements for all the posts that have received proposals. The issue of equivalence was also raised in the meeting itself. Public Service Commission had said that due to unclear situation, a total of 51 proposals were returned, out of which there are 6970.

Status of Public Service Commission proposals

– Total proposals received from e-procurement portal 25
– Total approved proposals of e-procurement portal 9
– Total proposals sent back for improvement 16

The Department of Personnel has decided the equivalence of graduation. Heads of departments have been instructed to modify all such proposals received and send them to the Public Service Commission. According to a government official, most of the departments have started the process of sending recruitment proposals to the Public Service Commission. It is believed that the process of issuing advertisements to fill these vacancies will start soon.
