UPPRPB UPPBPB UP Police: Allahabad High Court has sought response from the state government within four weeks on the petition filed regarding relaxation of age limit in Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment 2023 for 55699 posts. The High Court has given this order while hearing the petition of Satyaveer and 11 others. It has been said in the petition that for Uttar Pradesh Reserve Recruitment, the age limit for the general category is between 18 to 22 years, whereas for the reserved category, there is a provision for relaxation as per rules. It is said that the last recruitment of Uttar Pradesh Police Constable was in 2018. Now it is proposed to recruit 52699 posts in 2023 at an interval of five years, in which many young candidates may be left out due to age limit. According to the petitioners’ advocate Vinod Kumar Mishra, in the case of Manish Kumar vs Union of India in the Supreme Court, the then Home Secretary had given an affidavit for the recruitment of constables and sub-inspectors every year from 2017 to 2020, but after 2018, for the post of constable. No recruitment came. After the government’s reply, the court has given two weeks’ time to the petitioners to file the counter affidavit and has fixed the next hearing on November 22.
Let us tell you that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had ordered on Monday that the ongoing selection process for various posts in the police department should be completed by the month of December. There is to be recruitment on about 62 thousand posts in UP Police including constable, SI and jail warder. Restoration is to be done on 52699 posts of constable, 2469 posts of sub inspector and 2833 posts of jail warder. It is expected that the application process for UP Police Constable 52000 recruitment can start in a few days. Lakhs of youth of the state are waiting for the notification of these recruitments.
