UPSESSB UP TGT PGT Recruitment 2020: The Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Services Selection Board (UPSESSB) started the recruitment process for 15,508 posts of teachers in state-aided secondary schools after a four-year long wait. Online applications for the recruitment of 12,913 trained graduates (TGT) and 2,595 posts of spokesperson (PGT) have also started on the selection board website www.upsessb.org and pariksha.up.nic.in from Thursday. Candidates can register by 27 November.

The last date for submission of online fees has been set as 27 November. The last date for submission of the form, completing all the formalities, is 30 November. The selection board had sent a proposal for recruitment to the posts of TGT 12949 and PGT 2609 as well as 1453 total 17011 posts of Principal. But due to adjustment in some positions and non-start of recruitment of principals, the number of vacancies has reduced slightly.

Applications for the post of Principal will start soon
According to sources, applications for the recruitment of principals will also start soon. The appointment process is targeted to be completed before July 2021. For the first time, 10 percent reservation has been given to the candidates belonging to Economically Weaker (EWS) category. The selection board has made it clear that the benefit of any reservation is permissible only for the residents of Uttar Pradesh. It is worth mentioning that earlier in 2016, applications for recruitment of around 10 thousand posts of TGT-PGT were taken.

Interview ends in TGT recruitment
Interview with trained graduates (TGT) in this recruitment has been terminated. Weightages such as M.Ed., Ph.D. and Sports have also been eliminated in TGT. However, PGT will also carry an interview of 50 marks and a maximum weightage of 25 marks will be given on B.Ed., M.Ed., Ph.D. or sports quota.

Adhoc teachers will be given weight of maximum 35 marks
In compliance with the order of the Supreme Court, online applications will also be taken from ad hoc teachers working in aided colleges. They will get the benefit of weightage according to their service time. The District School Inspector will verify the service period. The service hours of ad hoc teachers will be calculated from July 1, 2020 from the date of payment of salary from the Treasury. Adhoc teachers will get a weightage of 1.75 marks and maximum 35 marks (surcharge) on one year of service. For ad hoc teachers, TGT and PGT written examination will be of 465 and 390 marks respectively. Apart from these, the written examination of TGT and PGT for all other candidates will be 500 and 425 marks respectively.

Date of written examination will be announced later
There will be no negative marking in the written examination of teacher recruitment. The examination will be of two hours. All questions will be multiple choice. The date of the written examination will be announced later.

EWS will have to pay less application fee
Candidates of EWS category will have to pay less of the application fee. In TGT unreserved and OBC 700-700, EWS and SC 400-400, while for ST, a fee of Rs 200 has been kept. With this an online processing fee of Rs 50 has been kept. In this way, 750 will be paid to unreserved and OBC, 450 to EWS and SC and Rs 250 to ST. Similarly, for PGT, unreserved and OBC 750, EWS 650, SC 450 and ST will have to pay a fee of Rs 250.
