SSC CGL Notification 2023: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will issue Combined Graduate Level (CGL) 2023 notification after 2 days i.e. on 1st April. As soon as the notification is released, the process of application will start on the official website of SSC, ssc.nic.in. According to the SSC calendar released on Wednesday, the Tier-1 exam (Computer Based Test) of CGL 2023 will be held from July 14, 2023 to July 27, 2023. This examination is conducted for recruitment to Group B and Group C level posts lying vacant in various Ministries, Departments, Organizations of the Government of India. In the recruitment of CGL 2022, 37 thousand posts were recruited.

In this recruitment, Assistant Audit Officer, Assistant Accounts Officer, Assistant Section Officer, Assistant, Income Tax Inspector, Inspector Central Excise, Inspector Preventive Officer, Inspector Examiner, Assistant Enforcement Officer, Sub Inspector (CBI), Inspector ( Postal Department and Central Bureau Office of Narcotics), Assistant / Superintendent, Divisional Accountant, Junior Statistical Officer, Auditor, Senior Secretariat Assistant, Tax Assistant etc.

Age Range

The maximum age limit for some posts is fixed at 27, for some posts at 30 and for some at 32 years. SC, ST category will be given 5 years relaxation in age limit and OBC will be given three years relaxation.

Ability

Simple graduation is sought for most of the posts. While for some posts, Maths is compulsory in 12th or in some, graduation degree with statistics subject is sought.

exam pattern

The exam pattern has been changed from CGL 2022 recruitment. However, it cannot be said whether the 2022 pattern will continue in CGL 2023 as well. Two stages have been kept in CGL 2022 recruitment, whereas earlier there were three stages (Tier-1, 2 and 3). The number of questions in Mathematics and English has been reduced considerably in the second stage examination. There is no change in the first stage exam. In this, as before, 25-25 questions of General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension i.e. total 100 questions will be asked. Each question will be of two marks i.e. the whole exam will be of 200 marks.
