SSC CGL: Good news, bumper increase in CGL recruitment posts, see latest vacancy details

SSC CGL Vacancy 2023: Through SSC Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Exam 2023, 8440 posts will be recruited in various ministries, offices and departments of the Central Government. Staff Selection Commission has uploaded the details of final vacancies. The commission had released the advertisement for this recruitment on April 3. At that time the possible number of vacancies was said to be 7500. In which there has been an increase of about one thousand posts. Out of the final 8440 posts, maximum 2389 posts are for Inspector CGST & Central Excise in Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC). These include 1197 posts of unreserved, OBC 364, SC 430, ST 202 and 196 posts of EWS. After this, 1102 posts of Accountant will be recruited in Controller General of Accounts. This includes unreserved 456, OBC 302, SC 157, ST 73 and EWS 114 posts.

The Staff Selection Commission had conducted the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) 2023 Tier-I exam from July 14 to 27. Answer key has been released. 24,74,030 applications have been received for CGL 2023. CGL exam is conducted for recruitment to Group B and Group C level posts lying vacant in various Ministries, Departments, Organizations of the Government of India.

In Tier-I, 51 per cent candidates appeared in the examination held in 15 cities of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. The highest attendance of candidates in the examination was recorded in Prayagraj and Jhansi. In Prayagraj, 57.80 percent and in Jhansi, 55.41 percent candidates appeared in the examination. A total of 6,61,182 candidates had applied from Central Region. Out of these only 3,38,299 candidates appeared in the examination. On the other hand, out of 173394 candidates registered for the examination in different cities of Bihar, 91372 i.e. 52.70 percent candidates appeared in the examination.

CHSL (10+2) Level Examination, 2023 (Tier II) will be held on 2 November. Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Quantity Surveying & Contracts) Examination, 2023 (Paper-II) will be held on December 4. Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and CAPFs Examination, 2023 (Tier-II) will be held on 22 December 2023.
