Chandigarh Police Constable Recruitment 2023: Bumper recruitment has been done on the posts of constable in Chandigarh Police. A total of 700 vacancies have come out of which 393 posts are for men and 223 posts are for women. 84 posts are for ex-servicemen. 324 out of 700 posts are unreserved. 185 are reserved for OBC, 130 for SC and 61 for EWS category. The online application process for this recruitment will start from 27 May 2023. The last date to apply has been set as 17 June 2023. Chandigarh Police Constable Recruitment written exam will be held on 23 July 2023. Candidates have to apply online by visiting chandigarhpolice.gov.in.

There are 393 posts for men, of which 178 are unreserved. 104 are reserved for OBC, 72 for SC, 39 for EWS.
There are 223 posts for women, of which 101 are unreserved. 60 are reserved for OBC, 40 for SC, 22 for EWS.
There are 84 posts for ex-servicemen in which 45 posts are unreserved. 21 posts are reserved for OBC, 21 for SC.
Eligibility – 12th pass. Must have LMV driving license.
Age Limit – 18 to 25 Years. OBC will get three years and SC will get five years relaxation in the maximum age limit.
Men’s height should be at least 170 cm. Chest 84-88 cms.
The height of women should be at least 157.5 cm.
Physical Test (for candidates between 18 to 30 years)
For Men – 1600 Meters Run in 6 Minutes 15 Seconds, 3.95 Meters Long Jump, 1.4 Meters High Jump
For Female – 800 Meters Run in 4 Minutes 15 Seconds, Long Jump 2.74 Meters, High Jump 0.90 Meters
Pay Scale – Central Pay Level – 4, as per 7th Pay Scale.
Written Exam Pattern – General Knowledge/ Current Affairs, Reasoning, Numerical Ability, Language Skills. The paper will be of 100 marks. There will be deduction of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
Selection :- Written Test and Physical Test. Those who qualify the written test will be called for physical test.
Minimum marks have to be scored
General – 40 percent
SC – 35 percent
OBC – 40 percent
Ex servicemen – 30%
– Men whose height is more than 183 cm and women whose height is more than 165 cm will get 2-2 bonus marks.
