Recruitment of 2382 doctors will be done in government hospitals of UP, requisition sent to UPPSC: Deputy CM

Continuous efforts are being made to remove the shortage of doctors in government hospitals of UP. Contractual, re-appointment and regular doctors are being recruited. Doctors are being given special training. The shortage of specialist doctors is being met. A proposal has been sent to the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission for the recruitment of specialist doctors on 2382 posts. Doctors will be recruited as soon as the process is completed. This is to say of Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak. He said that the previous governments were not serious about the recruitment of doctors. Because of this, there was a continuous shortage of doctors in the hospitals. The crisis deepened with the retirement of doctors. Continuous efforts are being made to improve the condition of the hospitals. He informed that the requisition has been sent to the Public Service Commission for the recruitment of specialist doctors on 2382 posts.

doctors are also being hired on contract

The Deputy CM said that under the National Health Mission (NHM), 1903 doctors have been recruited on contract and 344 retired doctors have been placed on re-employment. A provision has also been made to provide monthly salary up to Rs five lakh to the doctors coming on contract. This will increase the attitude and responsibility of doctors towards government service.

The quality of emergency services will increase

To increase the quality of emergency services, about 120 anesthesiologists are being imparted training in advance life support training at the district level. KGMU of Lucknow has been entrusted with the responsibility of providing this training. The Deputy Chief Minister said that a doctor trained in advance life support training would be posted in each hospital.
