Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission is holding PET exam today i.e. on 19th October, preparations for it have been completed. Such a large number of candidates are appearing for the examination, the administration is fully prepared for this. Admit cards will be issued today. Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra has instructed Divisional Commissioners and District Magistrates to immediately make arrangements to lodge FIR if dummy candidates are caught in the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET). Full care should also be taken to ensure that there is no chaos during the examination. The examination will be held on 28th and 29th October at 1058 centers in 35 districts. About 20 lakh 7 thousand candidates will participate in it. Candidates can download the admit card as soon as the link is activated by visiting the official website of UPSSSC, upsssc.gov.in.
The Chief Secretary gave this instruction during video conferencing with DMs and Divisional Commissioners of the respective districts along with Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission Chairman Praveer Kumar on Wednesday. He said that PET should be conducted peacefully and transparently, without cheating. The counterfeit mafia should not be allowed to succeed in their plans. Arrangements for face recognition through Artificial Intelligence (AI) should be made in the examination. FIR should be lodged against the dummy candidates caught through this.
He said that arrangements should be made in advance to deliver question papers to the examination centers on time, safe maintenance of question papers and OMR sheets, uninterrupted power supply, security arrangements etc. Candidates from all over the country come for the examination. Appropriate arrangements should be made by meeting with railway and transport officials so that the candidates can reach the examination center on time and they do not face any inconvenience in transportation. Women candidates will also appear in the examination, special arrangements should be made for their safety.
