The Institute of Plasma Research of the Central Government Department of Atomic Energy has released a notification seeking applications from eligible candidates for filling up 10 Stipendiary Trainee (Category-2) posts. There are vacancies in electrician, fitter, machinist, electronic mechanic, draftsman (mechanical) and other trades. Candidates applying for these posts must have passed 10th from any recognized board with minimum 60% marks in ITI or equivalent course in relevant trades. Also the age of the candidates must be between 18 to 22 years. Interested candidates should apply online by November 4, 2022. General candidates have to pay application fee of Rs.200 at the time of application. Fee exemption is applicable for SC, ST, women and disabled candidates. Candidates will be selected on the basis of Preliminary Test (Stage-1), Advanced Test (Stage-2), Trade/Skill Test (Stage-3). A stipend of Rs.10,500 per month for the first year and Rs.12,500 per month for the second year will be paid during training. After completion of training in Technician-B category post will be paid Rs.21,700 per month along with other allowances.
Procedure for Preliminary Written Test: Total 50 multiple choice questions are to be written in one hour.
- 20 questions from Mathematics section
- 20 questions from science section
- 10 questions from General Awareness
Only those who qualify the preliminary exam are eligible to appear for the Stage-2 exam. In the advanced test, 50 multiple choice questions have to be answered in two hours. Each wrong answer will carry negative marking. Stage-3 skill test will be conducted on the basis of merit.
