A student of IIM Indore has got a job offer of Rs 1.14 crore salary package during campus placement. The company has given this offer for jobs in India only. This is the highest annual salary package offered during the final placements of IIM-I this session, which is Rs 65 lakh more than last time. An IIM-I official gave this information on Wednesday. The official said that during the final placement of IIM-I students during the last session, the highest salary offered for a job in the country was Rs 49 lakh.
He informed that during the last placements of this session, more than 160 domestic and foreign companies have offered average salary packages of Rs 30.21 lakh to 568 students of IIM-I. These include students of the two-year Post Graduate Program (PGP) and the five-year Integrated Program in Management (IPM). Both the courses are considered at par with MBA.
IIM-I Director Prof. Himanshu Rai said, “We are always looking forward to strengthen our association with the industry while providing world class management education to the students. The stupendous placements achieved by our students despite challenging times is a testimony to this.”
According to official information, during the final placements, IIM-I students were offered maximum job offers of 29 per cent in the counseling sector by the recruiting companies. They were given 19 per cent job offers in general management and operations, 18 per cent in finance, 18 per cent in sales and marketing and 16 per cent in information technology and analytics.
