Government Jobs: Odisha government has increased the maximum age limit for government service from 32 years to 38 years in the calendar year 2021, 2022 and 2023. The decision to increase the age limit was taken in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Pathak on Monday.
According to official information, it has come to the notice of the government that due to unavoidable reasons the recruitment processes are getting delayed due to which the age of the applicants ends and they do not get enough opportunities to appear in the recruitment examination. In view of these discrepancies, the government has increased the upper age limit for admission to government service from 32 years to 38 years only under the recruitment advertisements given or to be given during the calendar years 2021, 2022 and 2023.
After this, backward classes will also get exemption on this. The upper age limit for SC and ST category will be 43.
