Game of fake certificates in recruitment to thousands of ATM and BTM posts in Bihar Agriculture Department, police silent.

There is a possibility of a big game of fake documents in the reinstatement of the posts of Block Technical Manager (BTM), Assistant Technical Manager (ATM) and Accountant in the Agriculture Department. During the counseling held in Muzaffarpur, certificates of four candidates were found to be fake. After this, the certificates of 80 other candidates are being verified from the respective universities. Of the candidates held in Muzaffarpur, three were found to have fake certificates of Bachelor in Agriculture from Himalayan Garhwal University of Uttarakhand. A candidate caught by the police told during interrogation that he had got fake documents made from a coaching operator in Patna in Gaya. The Agriculture Department lodged two FIRs in this regard. Even after 20 days of this big revelation, no steps have been taken by the police to nab the certificate mafia.
Thousands of posts of Block BTM, ATM and Accountant are to be reinstated in the state. According to the merit list, counseling was conducted on September 8 for reinstatement in all the districts. In Muzaffarpur, 80 candidates were called for counseling for reinstatement on 38 posts. Of these, four candidates were stopped on the suspicion of having fake certificates. Of these, Dharmendra, resident of Ner, Jehanabad, was arrested. Meanwhile the other three escaped. During interrogation, Dharmendra admitted in writing that the certificate of Bachelor in Agriculture Science was fake. He told that he had got a fake certificate of Bachelor in Agriculture of Himalayan Garhwal University of Uttarakhand made from a coaching operator in Gaya. He had to pay the full amount of the certificate after reinstatement. Since people from many districts are involved in making and buying fake documents, there is a possibility of a big gang being involved in it.

Three other absconding candidates – Awadhesh Kumar Yadav, resident of Pipariya of Turkaulia police station in East Champaran district, Rajneesh Kumar, resident of Satahi Kachari Tola of Paharpur police station in East Champaran district and Ambuj Kumar, resident of Kazichak of Varun police station in Aurangabad district, had fled from the counseling leaving behind their fake certificates. Despite their mention in the FIR, the police have not yet made any effort to arrest them. Atma’s Deputy Project Director Vinod Kumar Singh had filed a separate FIR against these three. SI Amar Raj of Nagar police station was made IO for investigation in both the incidents. Till now the police investigation has not progressed beyond the FIR.

Deputy Project Director Atma Vinod Kumar Singh has said that the certificates of four candidates were found to be fake. After this, the certificates of all 80 candidates are being verified. The final result will be released soon. A case has been registered in the city police station after receiving a fake certificate. The police have to take further action in this.

City SP Arvind Pratap Singh said, “The incident will be reviewed. From where and how the fake certificates were made, who else are the people behind it, all will be identified and action will be taken.”
