BPSC Bihar Shikshak Bharti: The recruitment process of 1.70 lakh teachers going on in secondary and primary schools of Bihar is at its crucial juncture. B.Ed candidates, who were left out of the post of primary teacher due to the order of the Supreme Court, have started demanding their inclusion in the recruitment. There are some such candidates among such candidates who are demanding cancellation of Document Verification (DV) of BPSC Teacher Recruitment Test (TRE). Meanwhile, Bihar Public Service Commission Chairman Atul Prasad has given his strict message to such candidates.
He tweeted on Friday, September 8, 2023 that the government deputes its officials and later changes them. This does not cause us any kind of worry. But if we talk about those elements who are trying to cancel TRE-DV, they should try harder. That is, the BPSC Chairman has made it clear in his signals that the process of teacher recruitment is not going to stop under any circumstances.
Let us tell you that on August 11, 2023, the Supreme Court has said in one of its orders that B.Ed pass candidates are not required for primary teacher recruitment. For this, only DLED pass has sufficient qualification. Since then, clouds of apprehension have started hovering over lakhs of BEd candidates who are dreaming of becoming primary teachers. In the same sequence, in the ongoing teacher recruitment in Bihar, there have been indications of B.Ed holders being excluded from the post of primary teachers. Now about 3 lakh 90 thousand candidates who applied for BPSC teacher recruitment have started raising the demand to include themselves in teacher recruitment.

Let us tell you that the BPSC had conducted the competitive examination on 24, 25 and 26 August 2023 for the recruitment of a total of 1.70 lakh teachers in the state including 79 thousand primary teachers. A total of 6 lakh candidates had appeared in this examination.
What to do now B.Ed pass candidates?
According to the order of the Supreme Court, if B.Ed pass candidates are excluded from primary teacher recruitment across the country, then such candidates will have to gear up again for preparation. B.Ed pass candidates should now apply for upper primary level TET or CTET and wait for the teacher recruitment for upper primary or secondary level. This means that now the path will become more difficult for B.Ed pass candidates because they will have to prepare afresh to become government teachers.
